NA misses me a little too much...
Being part of a member school for SYA means that the application process is assisted by a coordinator. Mine just so happened to be my dear 8th grade Spanish teacher, and she was an amazing asset to have throughout the process. I never lost touch with her as my time in Italia continued on, and just because she couldn't last the whole year without me (tee-hee), she popped over to Viterbo to pay a little visit.
It was great to show her around my new city and introduce her to my host family. Her generosity was amazing- she brought many NA t-shirts and Reeses' cups for my peanut butter-loving host brother. Although it was a mix of Spanish, Italian, and English at the dinner table, la cena was so much fun and we talked well into the night!
This post is a shout out to dear Maestra. Thank you for coming and we'll have to recreate the night back in the USA this summer!
