The packing process is brutal. I know I don't need a whole wardrobe or every last amenity I live with here, but it is certainly difficult getting everything I need in 2 bags! I've been attempting creative packing strategies like layering everything and packing items that can be worn lots of different ways- but this is even more of a challenge than the SYA application process! Auitami!

Additionally, I've been brainstorming what to bring my host family. My host sister tells me she wants to learn about America, but I have no idea what to bring that is truly representative of where I live. We are a Melting Pot, a country of many backgrounds, who all stand united under one flag. As great as that is, it leaves me stumped. Che cosa posso fare?

I thought these mugs were cute, especially because I have already bought them American spices and tea. There are also these adorable necklaces, but they aren't very cultural. Should I bring some Jersey tomatoes? A fresh Apple Pie? Non ho nessun'idea.

I have been trying to put together a photo book as well. It's looking like I might have to go digital though; nobody prints out pictures anymore! Che peccato.
